SentryConnect is an Android companion app for the SentryUSB / SentryBridge Raspberry Pi dashcam accessory used with Tesla vehicles. This policy explains what SentryConnect collects, why, and how to opt out.
Anonymous crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) If the app crashes, an automated report is sent containing the stack trace, Android version, device model, and app version. No name, email, location, or content from your Pi is included. Used solely to fix bugs.
Anonymous usage analytics (Firebase Analytics) Aggregated, anonymous data about which screens are opened and how long sessions last. Used to understand which features people actually use. No personal identifiers are sent.
Push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) When you enable archive / event notifications from your Pi, an anonymous device token is registered with Firebase so the Pi can route notifications to your phone. The token is not associated with any personal identifier and is not shared with anyone other than Google’s FCM service.
Your Pi connection details (host, port, BLE device address, paired notification relay) are stored only on your phone in private app storage. They are not synced to the cloud or shared with anyone.
You can disable crash reports and usage analytics anytime in Settings → Privacy inside the SentryConnect app. Push notifications can be turned off in the Pi’s notification settings or in your Android system notification settings.
SentryConnect is intended for adult users (18+) who own and operate a Tesla vehicle. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of SentryConnect after changes constitutes acceptance.
